Japan Job Market Fit Report

Privacy Policy

Japan Job Market Fit Report (the "Service") is provided by happybloom.org ("we" or "us"). This policy explains what information the Service uses, why we use it, and where it goes.

1. Information we use

Your answers, strengths, target role, CV, and report

These are saved in your browser's local storage (a storage area inside your browser). We do not save them on our server.

Your free result, including your level, is calculated in your browser. Until you buy the full report, your answers are not sent to our server.

We ask your age range only to compare your pay with official statistics for people your age. We do not use it for your job change success rate or your estimated market salary, we do not send it to our AI provider, and we do not put it in the email to a recruiter.

When you buy the full report, your browser sends your answers, what you wrote about your strengths, your target role, and your CV to our server. Our server uses them only to create your report, and sends them, except your age range, to our AI provider (see section 3). It does not save them or write them to logs.

Before you paste your CV, please delete your name, email address, phone number, and home address. Please also delete other people's contact details (for example, references). If you leave them in, they will be sent with your CV.

Count of report tries

To limit each purchase to 3 tries, our server keeps a record with only two items: a one-way hash of your payment's session ID, and the number of tries used. It does not include your answers, CV, report, name, or email address.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects your card details and other payment information, such as your email address. We do not receive your card number. We may use some of the information that Stripe collects, such as your email address and the time of payment. We use it to confirm your purchase, handle refunds, and answer your questions.

Access information

The Service runs on the network of Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare may record information such as your IP address and the time of access.

2. Why we use your information

3. How we use AI

The full report is written by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, PBC (United States). To write your report, we send the following to Anthropic:

We do not send your age range to Anthropic.

Before you buy, the Service asks you to agree to this by checking a box. We do not send your payment information to Anthropic. Anthropic handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. The fingerprint sent to Stripe

When you click the buy button, the Service makes a "fingerprint" from your answers, target role, and CV. It does not include what you wrote about your strengths. Your age range is part of your answers, so it is also used in the fingerprint; it cannot be read from the fingerprint. The fingerprint is a SHA-256 hash, a short string of letters and numbers. It is attached to your payment. We use it to check that your report uses the same answers and CV that you paid for.

Of the information you enter in the Service, only this fingerprint is sent to Stripe. Your answers and CV cannot be read from the fingerprint.

5. Sharing your information

We do not give your information to other people or companies without your consent, except when the law requires it.

We use these companies to run the Service:

These companies are based in the United States. Your information may be handled in the United States or in other countries outside Japan. Each company handles information under its own privacy policy.

6. Contacting a recruiter

The Service shows a button to email a recruiter. The recruiter works for a different company, not for us.

When you press the button, your email app opens a new email to the recruiter. The email includes a short summary of your answers (not your age range or your estimated market salary), your current salary range, the services you chose, what you wrote about your strengths (if the email is not too long), and blank lines for details that the recruiter usually asks for, such as your notice period. You fill in these lines yourself. You can change or delete any part of the email, and you decide whether to send it.

Your email app may keep a draft of this email, even if you do not send it. "Delete my data" does not delete it.

If you send it, the email goes directly from your email account to the recruiter. It does not pass through our server, and we do not receive a copy. The Service itself does not send your answers, CV, or report to the recruiter.

The recruiter handles your email, and anything you attach, under their own company's privacy policy. If you have questions about how they use your information, please ask the recruiter.

7. Cookies and analytics

The Service does not use cookies. It does not use analytics or advertising tools. It does not load fonts or other files from other websites.

The payment page is run by Stripe. Stripe's own cookies and privacy policy apply on that page.

8. How long we keep your information, and how to delete it

Your answers, strengths, target role, CV, and report stay in your browser until you delete them. To delete them, you can:

We do not keep a copy on our server, so we cannot show, correct, restore, or delete this information for you. If you want to keep your report, save it as a PDF.

Payment records are kept by Stripe. The count of report tries (see section 1) is kept on our server while we provide the Service.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this policy, please email us at support@japan-job-fit.com. Our contact details are also on the Notice based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions page.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when needed. The new version takes effect when we post it on this page.
